Questions and answers
Plain answers about estimates, preparation and scheduling. Each service page has its own questions too.
What areas do you serve?
Staten Island, all five boroughs of New York City, New Jersey and the wider tri-state area. In New Jersey we go as far south as Toms River and Manalapan and as far north as Westfield and Berkeley Heights. Call 718-984-0719 to confirm scheduling for your address.
What kinds of painting do you do?
Interior and exterior painting for residential, commercial and industrial properties, including cabinets and trim and the surface preparation that goes under a good finish: patching, taping, plaster repair and priming.
How do I get an estimate?
Call 718-984-0719 or send a request through the estimate form. Tell us where the property is, the rooms or surfaces involved and your timing. Photos help. Most projects need a walkthrough before a written estimate.
How much will my painting project cost?
Price depends on the size of the job, the condition of the surfaces, how much preparation is needed, access and the products specified. We look at the project before quoting, and the written estimate spells out what is included.
What should a written estimate include?
The rooms or areas, the surfaces in each, the preparation planned, the products and sheens, furniture and floor protection, the schedule, payment terms and how the final walkthrough works.
How long have you been painting?
Quality Painting of Staten Island brings over 20 years of professional painting experience to homes and businesses in New York City and New Jersey.
Do you paint occupied homes and active businesses?
Yes. Most jobs happen while people are living or working in the space. The work is sequenced room by room or area by area so the property stays usable.
Do you help choose colors and finishes?
Yes. We talk through color, sheen and product choices for each surface based on how the space is used, the light and how easy it needs to be to clean.
Tell us about your project.
Call for a conversation about your space, or send a request and we will get back to you.
