Look at colors in your own rooms
A sample seen in a store will look different next to your floors and furnishings. Review it in daylight and after the lights come on. If neighboring rooms stay their current color, check the transition at doors and open living areas before you settle on the new finish.
Put ceilings and trim on the list
Tell us whether ceilings, baseboards, doors and closets are part of the change. High ceilings and stair halls need a separate access discussion. A clear surface list makes it easier to compare a walls-only estimate with a complete room repaint.
Match preparation to the finish
Dents, rough patches and uneven areas become easier to see under some finishes and lighting. We discuss repair and priming needs during the walkthrough. The chosen finish belongs in the scope, along with preparation and the planned application.
Plan the rooms around your week
Let us know about work-from-home rooms, children, pets and spaces you need each evening. We discuss how furniture moves and which areas can close temporarily. Call with your Annadale room list and timing; we can arrange the walkthrough and put the agreed work in a written estimate.
Check what a painting estimate should include before comparing proposals.
Annadale painting questions
Can I change the color in only part of the house?
Yes. Tell us which rooms are changing and which are staying so we can review the transitions and protect adjacent finishes.
Will a darker color require different preparation?
It can affect coverage and make surface flaws more visible. We review the existing color, wall condition and selected product before setting the scope.
