Separate a paint defect from an underlying problem
A visible stain does not tell us whether its cause has stopped. Let us know about previous leaks or repairs and any area that becomes damp again. Active problems need attention before finish work; repainting alone cannot solve them.
Review old patches in the actual light
A patch can be smooth to the touch and still show through a finish because the texture or absorption differs. We inspect repaired areas, joints and changes between surfaces. The estimate should explain the preparation and priming planned for the result you want.
Plan units and shared spaces separately
If the property has more than one household or a shared stairwell, tell us who needs access and when. Unit interiors, corridors and exterior trim can be separate parts of the scope. Confirm notices and entry arrangements before the crew arrives.
Request a West Brighton walkthrough
Bring a room and surface list, pictures of the areas that concern you and your timing. We review interior and exterior painting needs and discuss the repairs within the scope. You receive a written estimate that identifies what is included, so you can compare the work as well as the total.
Check what a painting estimate should include before comparing proposals.
West Brighton painting questions
Can you paint after a leak has been repaired?
We review the affected surface and discuss whether it is ready for preparation and finish work. The cause must be addressed first.
Can hallway work be separated from apartment interiors?
Yes. We can discuss them as separate scope items with their own access and scheduling needs.
